The Role:
Our client is a consultancy company that specialise in major infrastructure development and asset management.
They are looking for multiple Project Managers / Engineers & Senior Project Study Consultants to help develop non major projects.

The role will see you undertake the identification, selection and coordination of external and internal activities to deliver fit for purpose non major projects within the coal mining industry.

Our client supports diversity in the work place and is looking to address the current imbalance in this area, as such preference will be given to qualified female applicants.

Duties:

  • Support the Project Delivery division, on the front end phases of identification and selection of non major projects ranging from $5m-50m
  • Coordinate the involvement of external Engineers and Consultants to ensure infrastructure/facility upgrade projects are completed on time and act as the primary point of contact for engineering issues
  • Clearly document engineering design changes and decisions throughout the development phase
  • Report on project engineering design progress, recommend any corrective action when necessary
  • Coordinate risk management activities within the development of projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that projects are appropriately defined and managed, including; study work plan and scope of works
  • Promote continuous improvement by constantly looking for opportunities to improve work practices and procedures
  • Assure compliance to project and engineering standards
  • Identify and implement systems and processes that improves the efficiency of projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Ideally Engineering degree qualified, however would consider business or finance qualification.
  • Must have Project Management experience
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in an Senior Engineering/Project Manager role
  • Brownfield project delivery/construction is highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Previous contractor management
  • Change management experience
  • Analytical thinker and able to think outside the box to solve problems
