The Role:
Responsibilities

* This is a site based position reporting to the Environmental Supervisor/ Site Safety Manager
* Responsible for
o The execution of site construction works as assigned in accordance with the project environmental strategy and procedures.
o Overall management of environmental issues and activities for allocated scope and areas of the site
o Management and coordination of the subcontractors' site environmental supervisors responsible for allocated work packages and scope
o Maintain a strong and effective professional working relationship with the AP Project Management, Client, interfacing EPC's, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders with respect to environmental performance and permitting matters
o Maintain an open and effective communication channel with the site project team and Site Project Manager.
o Represent the Company in meetings with the Client, interfacing EPC's, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders as required by the Overall Environmental Supervisor
o Implement the Project Environmental plans and meeting all national, local and project specific environmental requirements. In particular complying with all authority operating and building permit requirement for the project
o Promote effective incident reporting, collect and present environmental data and performance as required.
o Support and promote the implementation of the Project Execution Plan
o Provide leadership to ensure prompt prioritisation and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the Environmental Supervisor, Overall Site Safety Manager, Construction Manager, Site Project Manager as required.
o Write regular progress reports as required by the Environmental Supervisor, Overall Safety Manager and Site Project Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Strong environmental management experience of large multi discipline sites
* Understanding of the environmental, operating and building permitting processes in KSA and specifically for the Jazan project.
* Team Player
* Strong communicator written and oral
* Strong and effective leader and coordinator
* Organised, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
* Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
* Good presentation skills
* Strong report writing skills
* Middle East project experience
* Experience of working on camp based construction sites in remote Middle East locations
* Experience of working in multicultural project teams
* Experience of managing environmental activities on behalf of the client rather than through an EPC

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Saudi Aramco experience
* Air separation experience
