The Role:
* MANDARIN CHINESE LANGUAGE SPEAKING IS MANDATORY FOR THIS POSITION
* Responsible for coordinating with construction and safety to write and issue permits on site including but not limited to General safety work permits, CSE permits (reclassified and permit required), Excavation permits, NDT permits, night shift work, roof work and any and all special case activity permits
* Experience with LOTO and isolations
* Experience during the construction phase is desired
* May progress into pre commissioning for the right candidate
* Be a focal point for the onsite permit to work program during construction
* Attend daily permit coordination and works coordination meetings
* Visit site to discuss works with permit receivers before permits are issued
* Manage the permit office and keep logs, info boards and permit plot plan current and up to date, keep isolation logs up to date as necessary
* Ensure PTW is properly tracked - (permits issued and live, for revalidation, closed etc)
* Ensure all users comply to the permit to work program
* Audit the permit system accordingly
* Coach and mentor AP staff and contractors alike on the PTW system
* Help Ensure SIMOPS are properly supported through use of the PTW system
* Communicate changes affecting PTW in a timely fashion to all
* Uphold all project safety principles at all times
* Ensure conflicting permits are not issued
* Liaise with construction to get direction on work sequencing as necessary if there are conflicts
* Ensure permits are managed properly after an emergency situation (revalidated)
* Help the safety team during drills, emergencies, and exercises as required
* Report all incident and accidents immediately to the site manager and safety manager
* Supply weekly report on the PTW program
* Help ensure the PTW program does not unduly interfere with the work program.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
MANDARIN CHINESE LANGUAGE SPEAKING IS MANDATORY FOR THIS POSITION
* Minimum 2 years' experience
* Safety qualified - NEBOSH cert or equivalent
* Good PC skills
* Good team player in a multi-cultural environment
* Fluent in English, oral and written
* Good organiser
* Detail orientated
* Excellent communication skills
* Assertive and commanding

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
