The Role:
Position Summary
The job holder will be responsible in supervising and leading the QC inspectors, to ensure that quality procedures and customer requirements are complied.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Supervise and direct QC Inspectors, and work under the directions of EHS & Quality Manager with minimal supervision.
* Prepare and review of ITP and QP assuring compliance to API 6A, 16A, 16C, ASME IX and customer requirements.
* Ensure In-process inspection / final inspection / welding / stress-relieving according to the manufacturing route sheet - API, ASME and established QMS.
* Establish relevant and adequate technical data requirements necessary for carrying out inspection. Understand and be able to communicate with various departments.
* Supervise the validity of inspection with results, the effectiveness of Quality systems at all levels, within the plant, while holding QC inspectors accountable for their work.
* Ensure calibration of process control equipment is carried out and relevant records maintained.
* Plan and carry out inspections, verifications and record the results in accordance with the procedures.
* Lead / Supervise the QC Department.
* Perform inspection at subcontractor's premise to ensure the products being manufactured meet required quality requirements.
* Liaise daily with third party inspectors and customer representatives.
* Assure and review for verification the QA documentation and compilation of data books and that the QC Engineer and Project Management teams are complying with documentations.
* Manage in timely fashion oversight and assurance data packages are being completed on time by auditing frequenting on the preparation status of the data packages.
* Manage daily NDT results for MT, RT, UT, PAUT; liaise daily with Welding Engineer on results. Have sound knowledge of NDT Level II Status and be able to recognise areas for improvement and to train QC NDT inspectors.
* Liaise effectively daily with QC Engineer on weld quality issues, concerns and NCR(s).
* Participate in QMS interval and vendor audits, monthly quality meetings to offer advices on improvement of the system and personnel.
* Ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management System.
* Apply and maintain continual pressure on vendors who are not complying with the company's QMS/API /ASTM/ ASME required standards
* Report the overall QC performance of the Company to ESHQ Manager and make recommendations to improve and initiative those recommendations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
* AWS or CSWIP Certification and NDT qualifications/certifications preferred

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of Engineering experience preferred
* Knowledge of applicable Singapore and local building codes and safety laws
* Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities

Client prefers candidate who are already residents in Singapore due to local salary on offer and visa restrictions.
