The Role:
Responsible for the overall air operations, including the ACMI/ RTK performance and the COCC to ensure smooth operation and in compliance with the safety regulations.
Supervision of Subordinates
* Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within the Air Operations Performance is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and departmental policy.
* Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
Budgets and Financial Plans
* Monitor the financial performance of activities within the Air Operations Performance versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Air Operations
* Manage and monitor the ACMI and CPA providers to anticipate and/or remedy to deviations or diversions from normal operational plan and/or service level agreements.
* Manage daily cargo operations to ensure workflow and resolve any deviations that may happen during operation and to develop and maintain the infrastructure that supports operations control.
* Cooperate and coordinate with the OCC concerning the operation of aircraft and the performance of flight crew personnel.
* Manage the OCC and network operational performance to implement and initiate efficient disruption-recovery responses.
Manage and ensure continuous flight-watch is carried out effectively to provide the best possible assistance in case of any deviation or diversion from the normal operational plan.
Coordinate and control the efficiency and reliability of all activities of the COCC, including fleet performance, fuel management & RAMP interface
* Plan and develop the institutionalization of an efficient and effective command and control center to harness the company's system-wide operational issues with the most expeditious response involving all key operating departments.
* Plan and develop the institutionalization of a continual development program (including staff, infrastructure, systems and support) to elevate the standards and quality of Operations Control to align to global best practices, in order to enhance company's value proposition.
* Manage the collection of all post-flight database that will be used for statistical analysis, planning and developing forecasting mechanism for company's future movements and recovery plan, in order to maintain a strong historical database.
* Monitor of maintenance and mechanical delays encountered at places of origination, termination and intermediate stops.
* Provide coordination and support to all cargo flights as needed to ensure smooth operations and least interruption to the flow of work.
Operations Planning
* Oversee the planning and execution of alternative action plans for delayed or disrupted flights, in order to minimize negative reaction caused by the rescheduling.
Manage the coordination of the air traffic control shifts to ensure effective and coordinated flight operations of all fleet.
* Motivate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices while taking into account international leading practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
* Implement departmental policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality and cost-effective service.
* Supervise and provide inputs in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet the Air Cargo's requirements, policies, and standards.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
bachelors degree in Business Management or related subject.
* 7 - 9 years of experience in Cargo business ; with at least 3 years of experience in
a managerial position
