Instrument & Control Engineer

The Role:
- Must have an engineering degree from a reputable university.
- Must have at least 20 years of experience, 15 of which must be in the upstream offshore oil and gas sectors.
- Must have extensive instrumentation and control systems working experience relating to the engineering, procurement, factory/integration testing, installation, testing, fault finding and trouble shooting, pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up. He must have worked on several multi-million projects in the past.
- Must be familiar with instrument and control codes and standards widely used in the upstream oil and gas sector. He must also be majored in the backbone instrument and control systems such as DCS, SDS, FGS, CCMS and PDCS, equipment package PLC control architecture, backbone instrument and control
systems interfaces with equipment packages' control system, systems' hardware and software, systems' configuration such as multiplexing and mobus, etc. He must have good design office and site hand one experience rather than a project management or in the supervisory roles. This person should have
good instrument and control packages operations and maintenance working experience, and have worked on brownfield projects relating to control systems addition and expansion, system design, FAT and SIT of systems' components, etc. He must be very familiar and has previous working experiences on C&E
matrix, ESD hierarchy, etc.
- His responsibility includes overseeing, coordinating, monitor, reviewing and endorsing contractor's design engineering to ensure the systems are safe to operate, ease to maintain and meeting the requirements of the applicable codes and standards. He is also responsible to coordinate and review systems'
installation, test and commissioning procedures, work packs, witness and endorse completion and test reports. He must be able to assist contractor in the resolution of technical issues and problems, participate, evaluate and closing of assessments, reviews and workshops such as HAZOP, design review, HAZID,
risk assessment, etc. He needs to liaise with and coordinate with Company's project team and Operations and Maintenance Department to ensure the systems' operability and acceptability.
- This person must be able to work independently and preferably who has working experience with a small operator as he will likely be the only person with extensive instrument and control experience and be relied upon on most issues relating to instrument and control systems within the project team.
- Working experience in South-east Asian region is an advantage.
- He must be willing to travel.
