The Role:
Managing and coordinating all facets of the underground operations to meeting safety, production and cost targets,
whilst ensuring that all mining and planning activities support and are driven by the short, medium and long-term needs of the mine and fully aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the business unit.

The successful applicant must have the below skills, qualifications and experience to be considered

* Recognised Tertiary Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Mining)
* WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency in WA
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in an underground mining environment with experience in large scale mechanized, owner-operator long hole stoping, and room & pillar mining.
* Minimum of 2 years in a senior/supervisory operational role with proven experience in utilizing your WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate.
* Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, managing training/development, career progression and performance management of personnel.
* Mining software (Deswik, Vulcan, EPS, Ventsim)
* Strong technical background with experience in underground mine planning, ventilation, geotechnical, capital justifications, and budgeting

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum qualification/s

* Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Mining
* WA 1st Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency Desirable
* Post Graduate Business/Commerce Qualification
* Familiarity with mining software (Datamine, Mine Works Planner)
* Formal supervisory/management training
