The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting a Mining Engineer to join their team; the role will work on an 8 days on 6 days off rotation, flying out from Perth.

The ideal candidate will have extensive underground mining experience and will be liable for all planning and designs that will contribute to the success of the site

Key responsibilities will include;

* Champion the health and safety culture on site and in planning work
* Set budget targets that run alongside the production plans
* Ensure effective communication of work and issues/conditions status takes place with delegate prior to departure from site
* Organize development designs and infrastructure schedules to facilitate the Budget Schedule
* Ensure economic targets are met in time, safely and efficiently
* Communicate issues with superiors that may affect safety or efficiency In addition to liaising with all the different teams to ensure the success of the job
* Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate and identify barriers to goal achievement
* Make improvements to procedures are captured and changes are made to controlled documents by custodian

The Company:
Our client is a leading Gold Mining Major with mine sites across Australia, South Africa, Ghana and Peru. This prestigious company has aggressive expansion plans and is the company of choice amongst their competitors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
 Underground mining experience - preferably gold
 Understanding of drilling, blasting and ventilation

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
 First Class Mine Managers Certificate
 Exposure to a variety of different ore body types and models
 Exposure to different mining methods and associated economics
