The Role:
We are currently seeking a Planning Engineer to join an Underground Mining Department to help ensure business success by developing and implementing mine planning systems to ensure safe and economic target delivery.

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Prepare underground design optimisations, sensitivities, level and stope designs, and reports.
* Prepare infrastructure plans and equipment specifications, prepare level extraction plans, with due consideration to mining interactions and budget requirements.
* Provide planning guidance to the Production Team, assisting with weekly schedule development.
* Assist with project collaboration and coordination across multiple departments including alignment with site plan and schedule.
* Responsible for the safe and efficient completion of mine planning work.
* Operational planning incorporating the medium and long term planning requirements.
* Apprising Mine Management of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Tertiary Qualifications in a Mining Engineering or a related discipline
* WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency is advantageous
* Exposure to Microsoft office and Deswik
* Extensive underground engineering experience, with exposure to early-stage resource development and execution is advantageous, preferably in gold. Previous ventilation experience is favourable.
