The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Production Engineer for a 4 months contract. The position will be rotational from Perth on an 8/6 roster.

The position will be working on an underground gold mine operation providing comprehensive production planning and scheduling to facilitate short and medium production and development targets to meet maximum returns.

Key responsibilities include:
* Assist coordinating planning, production and contractor activities in delivery to the daily work plan and that they are aligned to the operational targets.
* Achieve planned production and safety targets through collaboration with the wider team.
* Effectively communicate to the wider mine team to ensure a clear understanding of objectives.
* Produce optimal drill and blast designs.
* Contribute to mine safety by actively identifying risks and threats and ensuring these are minimised or eliminated wherever possible.
* Support and contribute to continuous improvement around systems, processes and practices.

Our client is a leading Gold Mining Major with mine sites across Australia, South Africa, Ghana and Peru. This prestigious company has aggressive expansion plans and is the company of choice amongst their competitors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Underground mining experience
* WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency
* Supervisory or Management Training.
* Successful track record in Leading Change and delivering a High-Performance Culture.
* The ability to effectively coach and communicate, influence change, lead and provide alignment of multiple teams in a dynamic and challenging production environment.
* Significant engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold.
* Exposure to Microsoft office and mining software such as Deswik.CAD, Deswik.Sched and Ventsim

* Experience of a variety of ore body types and models would be highly desirable
