The Role:
Production Manager role reports to GM of the business unit and in a nutshell he is responsible for the technical management, supervision and control of production processes to ensure a Quality product been manufactured within allocated budget and time. Some of his key responsibilities include;

* Planning and organizing production schedules with the help from Production planner
* Assessing projects and resource requirements
* Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with tendering team for new projects
* Ensuring that health and safety regulations are strictly complied all times
* Determining quality control standards
* Control and monitoring production processes
* Production manager ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently
* Implementation of lean manufacturing techniques like 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Takt Time, poka Yoke etc.,
* PM should lead the Continuous improvement initiatives and be instrumental in implementing Six Sigma
* Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
* Selecting, ordering fabrication materials and consumables via Supply Chain team
* Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
* Liaising with engineering, buyers and marketing and sales staff
* Supervising the work of junior staff
* Coaching and mentoring of all sub-ordinates in the production team
* Organising relevant training sessions
* Supporting Engineering department in developing tooling, manufacturing process for new products
* Also responsible for managing all wire line equipment services including refurbishments, maintenance, I&C etc.,
* Responsible for preparing annual production OPEX and CAPEX budgets

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* He/she should be an engineering graduate
* Must have at least 10 to 15 years of Oil & Gas services experience in which at least 5 to 7 years worked in manufacturing of wireline, well testing /service equipment
* Must have people management experience especially management of shop floor personnel
* Good knowledge in Hydraulics, Engines & other rotating equipment
* Must be a team player and have experience in all business processes
