The Role:
ROLE: Construction E&I Supervisor

OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
To review and supervise the E&I installation and construction planning activities associated with the FIU (Field Instrumentation Upgrade) Project with emphasis on quality assurance / control. This role will be a combined offshore / onshore role which will ensure CLIENT's interest is put at the forefront during the Field Instrumentation Upgrade / Installation and commissioning scope of works. The role will also help mitigate the planning and construction risks or short comings that may be associated with site execution contractor. Experience would be 10-15 years and a duration 12 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Champion Safety during construction: Goal Zero realized
* Champion Quality during construction: Zero Defects
* Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE and QA/ QC performance
* Develop, implement, maintain and manage the FIU Construction Strategy and Plan.
* To provide E&I installation and construction planning input into the project planning process.
* To provide E&I construction input into the preparation of schedules and cost estimates.
* Participate in constructability workshops.
* Provide E&I construction input into the Project Interface Register and SIMOPS Matrix.
* Provide feedback to the Engineering team regarding suitability of engineering designs.
* Review and provide input into E&I scopes of work and contracts.
* Ensure proper and timely development of construction work packs
* Ensure the proper planning and management of an offshore schedule / execution program that optimizes facility shut-ins with a primary focus towards safety, environmental and quality issues
* Provide Owner's input and quality control / assurance into installation and construction contracts and contractors, including kick-off and update meetings and action management. Key focus area around ex-certification and installation as per design.
* Provide Owner's input and assurance into onshore and offshore construction works including QA/QC aspects and provide daily and weekly reports to the Project Controls Manager and the Construction Manager.
* Provide Owner's input and assurance into construction logistics including materials receiving, bagging and tagging, storage and preservation.
* Develop and support shutdown planning assumptions.
* Ensure site change orders or TQ and corrective actions are processed appropriately to obtain the appropriate approvals (engineering, cost, schedule etc.) and in administration of the contract.
* Ensure that the construction activity is suitably resourced to meet the required project schedule.
* Validate progress measurement and reporting on construction activity.
* Be the project representative at shutdown planning meetings, shutdown steering committee meetings and during shutdown internal and external reviews.
* Establish agreed arrangements for commissioning and handover with operations function.
* Role would be office (Port of Spain) and offshore based (14 days average rotation) as required.


Dimensions:
* Challenging brownfield projects with onshore fabrication, offshore construction and installation.
* Multiple work scopes across the Trinidad portfolio with various small to medium projects ranging from FEED through Execute & handover to Operations.


Skills and Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at a minimum a diploma or certification in electrical & instrumentation or related field.
* Experienced professional technician with a minimum of 10 years' experience in offshore oil & gas facilities planning and construction.
* Self-starter with a can-do mentality, who quickly develops relationships with key stakeholders and is comfortable taking a risk based, fit for purpose approach.
* Proven experience / demonstrated ability to influence contractors and partners to deliver successful outcomes.
* High commitment to HSE processes and understanding of their importance.


Key Competences:
* Excellent analytical skills; able to organize and plan independently.
* Effective communicator at all levels in organization.
* Project management of onshore and offshore construction activities.
* Contractor Management.
* Quality Management.
* HSE Management with a focus on personnel safety.
* Ex-Certification preferred.
