The Role:
*The position requires provision of technical support such as QAQC subsurface data, reports preparation, documents management in SharePoint and maintain the databases.
*This position offers the opportunity to develop integration skills and raise the level of personal contributions to high impact projects in Trinidad & Tobago.
*The role requires experience, self-motivation and enthusiasm to support our Development and Exploration team.


Attain and maintain Goal Zero in the office with strict adherence to Life Saving Rules


* Based in the Developments organization, reporting to Petrophysics Lead

* Annual Budget: No specific budget responsibilities

Focal point for Development and Exploration in managing technical data (logs, seismic, cores, etc) with the local asset data manger and regional corporate DM team

*Working with other staff from different departments (WRFM, operations, Wells) and disciplines to complete tasks in a timely and effective manner


*Coordinate and manage the existing cores and cutting samples for the asset and exploration.

Data digitization and preparation including well logs, maps, seismic sections and capturing data in to spreadsheets.

*Data entry of technical data such as of logs, seismic, cores, cuttings, pressure, survey, reports and etc.

*Prepare geological/petrophysical end-of-well report, collate interpretation reports and composite logs summary plots.

*Use ArcGIS software for preparation of GIS maps, regional maps compilation and posters/displays for workshop or technical review sessions.

*Management of Geological/Geophysical/Petrophysical interpreted data and end of well reports and CDs in the clients' corporate data stores, library and SharePoint

*Data download from vendor's (Interact, Preview, etc.) and industry standard databases such as IHSEnergy and DrillingInfo.

*Operate and maintain geophysical survey and well-logging instruments and equipment

* Maintain geological and geophysical databases

Assistance with preparation of management presentations and technical illustrations and charts.

Qualifications, Experience and Core Competencies

*Undergraduate degree in engineering, geology, science or mathematics preferred.

*The preferred candidate will have, extensive computer skills and 5-10+ years of previous oil and gas industry experience in a similar role.

*Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects

*Extensive knowledge of industry standard data types and formats.

*Working knowledge of technical software suites including ArcGIS, Recall, Techlog/Petrel.

*Working knowledge in government database, IHS and digital technical library

*Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word). Knowledge of graphics software such as CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCad or similar an advantage.

*Applied experience with relational databases (e.g. MS Access) and data interrogation platforms like SpotFire a strong plus.

*Experience in supporting International projects is an advantage.

* Self-motivated and comfortable working to short deadlines.

* Strong communication and inter-personal skills are essential
