Brief summary of job function or main purpose of the job.

Residing within the Operations Support Team, the Senior C&I Engineer is responsible for: -
* Providing engineering and operational support for C&I related initiatives, geared towards improving safety, overall equipment reliability, increasing production, and/or reducing the cost of production.
* Providing technical support to the Clients Hazards & Effects Management Process (HEMP) by participation in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, SAFOPs, Bow-Ties, QRAs.
* Providing Technical Support Process Automation and Control Systems, including but not limited to Distributed Control Systems, Safety Instrumented Systems (e.g. ESD, HIPPS, FGS), process instrumentation and other third-party control systems

The Senior C&I Engineer shall be accountable for:-
* Delivery of assigned CAPEX/OPEX projects within agreed budgets, in accordance with the clients Asset Standards and Guidelines.

Core Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of Clients Asset Management System (AMS) to Develop Equipment Care Strategies and job plans for C&I-related equipment as part ofthe Manage Equipment Care (MEC) Program,
* Provide technical support to the HEMP process via participation in HAZOPs, LOPA,s, Bowties, QRA's, ALARP Assessment. Lead HEMP processes such as SIL verifications, Alarm management workshops.
* Collaborate closely with the Upstream MRTA and WRFM Teams to evaluate and implement C&I engineering solutions
* Participate in the Engineering Team collaboration meetings and attend other Upstrem Assets Cadence meetings as required including, but not limited to Daily Morning Calls, IAPS, MTO, MoC and site Alarm Management

Intra-department (Upstream Asset) Interfaces:
* Operations Support - Other discipline engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Subsea, Civil/Structural), Process Engineering, Process Safety Management
* MRTA - Maintenance Engineering, Reliability Engineering; Maintenance Excellence & Operations Delivery
* Site Personnel: OIM; MTL, OTL, HSSE, Technicians, Operators, Logistics

Inter-department Interfaces: Production Technologists/WRFM; Projects; Contracts/Procurement; HSSE; HR; Finance; Commercial; IT

External interfaces: - Automation/Instrumentation Vendors; General Contractors

Competence & Skills

Experience requirements:
* Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in Engineering, Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance in the Oil & Gas Industry or Chemical Processing industry, covering the C&I related areas of:
o Development of Engineering Documentation for C&I Projects/Modifications
o As-Building of C&I drawings using AutoCAD
o C&I Equipment Testing and Maintenance
o Installation & Commissioning of Field Instrumentation and Control Valves
o ESD/DCS/PLC/F&G system programming,
o Alarm management
o Functional Safety Management of Safety Instrumented Systems
o Project Management
o Auditing of Processes & Procedures related to C&I systems
* In-depth C&I engineering experience for the operations and maintenance of equipment that is unique to onshore/offshore gas production facilities
* Projects and Operations experience covering the hands-on programming of automation and controls equipment, such as DCS systems, F&G systems, Process Shutdown systems, & general PLCs.
* Broad knowledge of related disciplines in the industry. Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and in the assembly of teams to resolve specific technical issues.

Educational requirements:
Minimum BSc Degree in Instrument Controls/Electrical Engineering
MSc degree preferred

* Must be an excellent team player and work with others to achieve results.
* Must be able to respond to emergency calls as needed
* Must be fit to live/work on offshore facilities for extended periods within the limits of Clients Policies & Procedures
