The Role:
Job Purpose & Responsibilities:

The position requires strong technical expertise and excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills to support the corrosion engineers in the organization for the development of best technical solutions to meet business needs and drive business results. This role will work closely with Site Manufacturing, Maintenance & Technical departments, business units and business functions.

Main Responsibilities

* Cost/benefit analysis, technical design, implementation of new corrosion technology, sustainability, trouble shooting, failure analysis, expertise in global industry standards and practices related to corrosion.
* Possesses a thorough knowledge of general principles and theories related to engineering and contributes significantly to the solution of a variety of unique and complex engineering problems.
* Development of company standards on relevant areas of expertise;
* Project Leadership; Demonstrated excellent organizational, prioritization project management and time management skills, set priorities and meet deadlines; Demonstrated ability to prioritize and make trade off decisions based on key business drivers; Demonstrated self-starter and ability to develop a strategy and execute tactically;
* Global Team Leadership; Demonstrated excellent team leadership in a virtual, global environment; Ability to work across global and cross-functional teams, at all levels within the business and obtain results; History of building relationships, gaining credibility, and partnering with business leaders and peers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:
* Minimum 15 years filed experience in areas related to corrosion engineering and its control, preferably in petrochemical/ refinery or oil & gas industry:
* In depth understanding of corrosion engineering and principles.
* Strong knowledge in all various corrosive industrial environments and their impact on equipment integrity.
* Strong knowledge in all types of corrosion damage mechanisms and their identification factors.
* Strong knowledge and experience in developing corrosion prevention measures and implementation.
* Strong knowledge in all various types of corrosion technologies and monitoring programs available in the market and their applications in industrial manufacturing sites.
* Strong experience in performing corrosion investigations, diagnoses and troubleshoots of corrosion complicated/chronic issues and propose the mitigations measures.
* Familiar with laboratory experimental work and requirements/standards during corrosion investigations.
