The Role:
You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of engineering activities, as well as bringing in work and growing the current design team. You will be involved in the projects from the initial bid stage right through to costing for engineering time and materials and delivery on time against the project budget.

Key responsibilities as an Engineering Manager:
* Design Quality
* Design/departmental efficiency through project delivery
* Strategic development of resources and recruitment
* Management of staff utilisation
* Client relations
* Accountability for Engineering output against quality, cost , budget and programme
* Train team on both Solidworks and AutoCAD where necessary
* Development & progression of team members in line with career pathways

The Company:
Our client is a fast-growing business in the UK nuclear sector.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Ba Mechanical Engineering minimum - chartership status ideal
* Demonstrably proactive, self-driven and assertive. High levels of influence and strong leadership capability. External Client Management
* Minimum 10 years experience in team management
* Experience with stainless steel products
* Experience with tanks and pressure vessels
* Familiar with ASME III & VIII, and working to EN Standards
* Familiar with Solidworks and AutoCAD
* Strong welding knowledge and fabrications
* Experience in a highly regulated industry

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience within the nuclear industry
