The Role:
QA/QC SPECIALIST

Scope of Work This position is situated in the Engineering & Construction Department and will be reporting to Head, Quality and it is based in Ras-Laffan. The employee will: Monitor and liaise with relevant entities to ensure related applicable procedures are implemented in the execution of projects. Conduct and manage contractors & vendors audits for E&C Ensure that the assigned duties are well managed in the time frame. Activities Ensure and promote Safety by implementing Company HSE rules and specifications. Contribute in promoting safety culture by reporting safety observations. Manage vendor audits and carry out vendor audits as and when required. Participate in technical bid evaluation to review the Quality Management part of the bid. Provide input to vendor performance evaluation based upon audit findings. Develop and roll out necessary Quality Assurance procedures and forms/templates as required. Proactively report to Head Quality regularly and when decisions impacting E&C activities need to be taken. Proactively identify any potential Quality failures and report to Head Quality. Report and analyse all anomalies/Safety Observations to detect any irregularities and propose corrective actions. Assist Head Quality in Transverse work processes as and when required. Carry out any other relevant duties or tasks that may be assigned by his reporting line. Organize and spearhead Quality Inductions for newly joined personnel or for other entities as required. Assist CMS representative for E&C to manage issuance of technical standards and other CMS related documents. Assist the delivery of CMS documents through the implementation of an improvement plan.
Assist to conduct process controls for CMS deviations and CMS critical documents. Assist the CMS leader in the Implementation of an integrated management system which meets ISO 9001 requirements. Profile Requested Bachelors' degree in Engineering from internationally recognised University. At least 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry projects, QA/QC roles (methods engineer or specialist) balanced between QA and QC disciplines, EPCI type of activities. Acquaintance to ISO 900x, ASTM, ASME/API, AWS, British Standards, and other equivalent. Personnel management experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in English language
