The Role:
Manage and lead Controlling and Planning Center of Expertise Front Office (COE/FO) in line with Group standards and best practices. Ensure seamless cooperation between COE and local Business and continuous process improvements in controlling process to offer cost-efficient services fulfilling business and statutory requirements. Develop and implement strategic plans for optimize the use of COE services and maximize the impact on local strategies and initiatives. Guide, motivate develop and set targets for the COE services and the deployment of these in the local business.

1. Strategy, budget and planning
Defines, contributes to or implements the strategy, vision and direction for the country finance organization. Guides, influences and benchmarks the local business in cooperation with Country Finance Manager and Business Partners to make best use of COE capabilities and services in optimizing end to end business processes and drive efficiency.
Relevant strategic areas/Processes include:
o Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) - business analytical services to the Business based on customer requirements. Automated tools/reports design, implementation and maintenance/continuous improvement. Semi-automated and manual analytical services, and one-off (ad-hoc) analytical output.
o Cost Accounting - overall responsibility for financial Cost Accounting, including product standard costing, maintenance and absorption analysis, cost control and allocation models.
o Reporting and Legal entity controlling - legal and non-legal controlling, governance, assurance and internal control effectiveness and efficiency; ensure financial integrity for ABB and compliance with USGAAP and Local GAAP accounting regulations
o System and Master Data Governance - chart of accounts, Business Warehouse tools.
o Functional Controlling - controlling, budgeting, cost control, communication, charging mechanisms, tax compliance and Business Partnering with respective Function
o Special projects within the controlling area.
Coordinates preparation of Controlling and Planning COE budget and takes the responsible for proper cost governance within given frames
Responsible for continuous drive for efficiency gains with own managerial area.
Guides, motivates, develops, sets targets for own direct or indirect staff.

2. Best practice and group Initiatives
Drives, coordinates and executes implementation of best practices and continuous optimization of local processes to gain efficiencies, reduce cost and drive productivity gains and drives, coordinates or executes harmonization and standardization locally in line with Group solutions and best practices and participates actively in the development of global solutions.

3. Stakeholder management
Manages relationships with business partners (customers) and HUB CoE's (suppliers) to ensure that services are defined and delivered as agreed. Maintains performance targets with business partners/customer. Arranges and drives internal customer review meetings on a regular basis and tracks mutually agreed plans of action

4. People leadership and development - Leads and supervises C& P CoE Finance front office personnel. Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides and motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant
- Detailed SAP knowledge - particularly FI/CO
- Self-motivated
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to work and interact across multiple functions both locally and internationally

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Large Company Experience
- Internal Control Framework experience/understanding
- >5yrs Finance Management Role
