The Role:
The successful candidate shall be able to undertake the following work without assistance and be able to direct others in these roles.
· Package Management of HV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, UPS and power/control cables from initial enquiry to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
· Interface with HVAC, Telecommunication & Control System Packages
· Switchroom layouts including the review of cable routing
· Cable Sizing
· Short circuit calculations, harmonic analysis and earthing strategies
· Load List
· Liaison with third parties including the fabrication yard and Client.
· Advise on equipment for use in hazardous areas and compliance with ATEX
· Change control/management with regard to cost/schedule
· Liaise with & manage the production of design drawings produced in 'high value offices'.
· Interface technically with the client to optimise the system design, co-ordinate resolution of technical queries.
· Work with the team members, improve standards and procedures such that the project is completed timely and cost effectively.
· Assist with technical sales presentations, bid estimation & clarifications.
· Share experience, coach and develop others as appropriate. Work in cross functional teams, engage in constructive discussions with customers and vendors, develop specifications, support sales and project management
· Experience in design and engineering of E-house solutions, specifically with respect to interfaces with Structural , HVAC , Fire and Gas detection and fire suppression systems and design of Cable transits etc.
· Also helpful: Knowledge of ABB Product offerings in MV and LV products and solutions like Unigear Zs1, MNS 3.0 , MNS iS etc.

The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· BSc (Electrical Engineering)
· MIET, CEng (Preferred)
Minimum 5 to 10 years' experience in the oil & gas industry with an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractor covering Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering.
