The Role:
Main Accountabilities Position Interactions

The main focus of the role will be to implement Design Change Requests to correct/amend live products or add minor variants of existing product range.

Other Duties -

· Work alongside Engineers and Scientists to get product designs from conceptualization to commercialization phase. This will include 3D modelling, detailed 2D drawing, SAP data entry, testing a number of product development concepts and production of test schedules.
· Help project teams with design and testing of product design concepts both in the laboratory and on field trial sites.
· Working in a multi-discipline product design team to assist in creation of water and/or gas analysers
· Innovate own designs from market specifications.
· Work with suppliers to produce production quality components
· Evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements
· Contribute manufacturing technical expertise to new product design and introduction to manufacturing process.
· Provide technical engineering expertise to support manufacturing and New Product Introduction process.
· Writing specifications and testing theoretical designs to create user-friendly interfaces.
· Suppliers and Customers
· Team members from Supply Chain Management, Production, Production Engineering, Quality, Service, Technical Support and Product Management.

· Innovation of new product design
· Efficiency of getting design changes into production

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in mechanical engineering
Must be fully competent in ProE and AutoCAD software, MS Office
Good knowledge of materials for industrial/scientific instrumentation product
Able to embrace new technologies to create innovative solutions
Able to demonstrate attention to detail
Self motivated, able to take the initiative
Able to work in a multi discipline design team
Familiar with SAP
Familiar with drawing office practices
