The Company

Fircroft are currently working in partnership with an exciting, rapidly growing SME based in Milton Keynes. The company design, install and maintain turnkey security solutions for both public and private sectors including Megapixel HD CCTV, IP Access Control, intruder alarms and Wireless solutions. The company pride themselves on being at forefront of designing, developing and installing the latest security products and networking technologies and are now looking to recruit a confident and ambitious Business Development Manager.

The Opportunity

The company are looking to recruit this person as the "first piece of the jig saw" to eventually define and build a sales team around. This person with be instrumental in helping to develop a sales team within the business as well as working with the CEO to help devise and implement a sales strategy moving forward. The role will involve a high level of business development with new and existing customers across the UK . Working from home and reporting to the CEO day to day this person will be responsible for proactively maintaining and developing business relationships across UK, developing the company's customer base in both public and private sectors.

Key areas of responsibility will include:-

  • Research, evaluate and understand the changing dynamics and requirements of clients
  • Actively own and manage the sales process for each identified prospect from identification and discovery through to close, implementation and ongoing account management
  • Create, build and manage individual sales pipeline to contribute to overall company growth targets
  • Attend industry events and conferences to maximise networking opportunities
  • Develop and implement regional growth strategy
  • Identify and develop partner strategy to grow regional sales
  • Promote product and service business in the region
  • Maintain CRM: customer records, logging & managing opportunities and activities according to Siemens Sales Processes

What do I need to do this role?

  • Proven experience of managing new business sales processes and achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Familiarity with the various products security system products (CCTV, IP Access Controls etc.)
  • Experience of the business dynamics that drive the market sector is essential. We are looking for individuals who will have progressed well beyond pure product sales and will be experienced at building relationships and identifying the differentiators that create a business case within potential clients.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation are essential
  • The ability to work under pressure & to work on your own initiative is also required
  • You will need to demonstrate the ability to motivate others and quickly make an effective contribution.
  • The flexibility to travel as well as work from home will be expected as part of this remit
