The Role:

* To lead and motivate the sales accounting team whilst ensuring that operational day to day tasks are delivered in a timely manner
* Develop and maintain good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
* Communicating with collegues within POG to ensure that all sales accounting have a consistend approach to procedures and processes
* Update Inside with new or revised processes, procedures in a timely manner.
* Ensure that all sales invoices are prepared and issued on time, cash is collected and allocated appropriately
* Ensure that all purchase invoices are processed and paid on time, queries resolved appropriately
* Ensure that month end is processed in a timely manner and complies with our processes and procedures
* Investigate Purchase Orders that remain open after 3 months and take the appropriate action
* Ensure both customer and supplier accounts are maintained and reconciled to ensure they reflect the true position
* Ensure bank accounts and petty cash reconcilations are completed on a weekly and monthly basis respectively and entries are posted appropriately
* Ensure that the daily imports between Readsoft and Dynamic AX 2012 are successful and resolve any 'stop errors'
* Monitor the workflow of invoices and resolve any slow moving or stuck invoices
* Ensure that the Sales Accounting Team Lead is sufficiently resourced, this includes taking an active role in the recruitment and selection of the team
* Mentor, coach and develop individuals to ensure that the Sales Accounting Team Lead posess the right skills and knowledge to undertake the tasks required
* Conduct regular staff appraisals to provide feedback of individuals performance and where necessary manage poor performance in a timely manner, this includes attendance and conduct
* Identify and implement process improvements
* To carry out other delegated responsibilities as instructed, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil the request


Qualifications and experience:
* Manager experience
* Excellent working knowledge of finance concepts
* Computer literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
* Experience of Dynamics AX 2012 and OCR would be an advantage
