The Role: The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and bringing new business opportunities around logistics / procurement services into the organisation to be serviced by the client organisation in the Caribbean. This includes identification of new customers, visits and management of bidding processes. Crucially, the role will promote the brand to increase customer awareness and build effective business relationships. Part of the job is to manage the actual customer accounts from attained customers in relation to customer satisfaction, commercial viability and expansion of scope. The role requires close cooperation with client delivery and various departments.

Job Location:
Port of Spain office, frequent travel will be required.

Roles & responsibilities:

Business development responsibilities
* Identify new client leads from logistics and procurement industry and increase . business.
* Increase the awareness of in the local and regional market
* Build and maintain solid relationship with both new and existing clients.
* Hold regular client visits to follow leads and ensure we are providing a first class service.
* Utilising various channels to attract and source clients this will include networking events, conferences, seminars, marketing techniques and social media as appropriate.
* Organise and attend relevant corporate events to attract business opportunities and promote the brand.
* Contribute to the creation and compilation of the business strategy and tactical plan.
* Support the Business Development Director in the compilation of the Annual Budget, ensuring that all projects are done within budgetary constraints.
* Lead required follow up with customers around request for proposals and work with cross functional teams to deliver these requests on time.

Account management responsibilities:
* Serve as the lead point of contact for any and all customer account management matters.
* Overseeing customer account management, including assisting in negotiating contracts and close agreements to maximise profit.
* Ensure revenue trackers are kept up to date by working in close liaison with Corporate Services team.
* Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve operational and cost efficiencies.
* Ensure timely and successful delivery of our in-house solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet revenue targets set if any.
* Fully support a culture of performance management throughout the business where all people are assessed for competence and appraised on a regular basis.
* Act as a focal point for all client meetings ensuring you have required team members are present in the meeting to answer all client queries.
* Understand client contracts and work towards cost optimisation and operational efficiencies

Qualifications and experience:
* Educated to Higher/Graduate level
* Previous experience within a similar position and demonstrable track record of achievement.
* Driving Licence
* Experience within the logistics or oil and gas industry
