The Role:
Manage all aspects of waste identification, collection, storage, packaging, and disposal of wastes generated by the site/s and in a timely manner so that operations are not impacted.
Job Location:
Point- Fortin, Trinidad & Tobago
Roles & responsibilities:
* Management of the execution of waste disposal methodologies on various waste streams
* Understanding the industrial waste products
* Analysing the MSDS associated with the waste stream
* Development of action plan and project tasks for disposal activities for various waste streams
* Managing the auction process from creation of website to distribution
* Coordination of the logistics and procurement of waste disposal services
* Request for quotation, Analysis of quotations, Creation of purchase orders
* Tracking of created purchase orders via updates to a log
* Verification of Destruction Certificates, Custody Transfer forms, Analytical reports and Invoices
* Closure of purchase orders through receipting once services have been rendered.
* Management and control of the budget allocation for waste management:-
* Tracking of all waste management activities
* Creation and maintenance of a committal sheet for subsequent costs
* Prediction and estimation of planned disposal activities
* Collation and comparison to budget allocations
* Implementation of cost saving practices and ensuring all activities is charged to the relevant projects.
* Assisting with the development and implementation of waste management strategies through contracting waste disposal companies:-
* Development of the scope of work for each disposal activity
* Assist in the creation of criteria for competitive tender
* Prequalification assessments; site visit and audit
* Contractor management
* Contractor management
* Managing the resource loading of activities & monitoring the quality and performance of in-house contractors
* Conducting quarterly site visits and audit of external service providers
* Ensuring compliance to all standing instructions, internal procedures as well as national and international legislation as they apply to the storage, handling, transport and disposal of waste streams.
* Preparation of waste tracker for reporting to Management
* Document management
* Ensure relevant required documents are accurately completed
* Filing of all waste management documentation
* Collation of related waste management job tickets and upload to drive
* Exploration of new disposal methodologies for implementation of possible cost saving initiatives and minimizing impact to the environment
* Comply with Level 1 of HSE Employee Responsibility and Accountability.
* Comply with Level 1 of clients Values & Behaviours
Qualifications and experience:
1) Proven Oil and Gas Industry experience
2) Minimum five (5) O' Levels CXC/GCE
3) Training as evidenced by certification in Waste Management.
4) Five (5) years' experience in a similar role.
5) Develop and sustain collaborative relationships at all levels with the organisation
6) Ability to influence at appropriate levels to deliver team objectives.
