The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining power supply during Nuclear testing and research projects. Leading and delivering small to medium projects and technical studies, you will be tasked with design, installation and commissioning of electrical and electronic circuits.

Further responsibilities of the role will include:

* Prepare and agree the detailed specifications and scope with interested parties and interfaces (PRO, ATO holder, LPM etc).
* Apply technical knowledge and expertise; research and propose design solution for agreement.
* Make appropriate use of modelling and design tools (e.g. PSIM, MatLab, Simulink, CAD, and EDA).
* Chair project progress and design review meetings.
* Provide drawings (by self or through Design Office as appropriate for the project).
* Research, specify and order components.
* Prepare technical reports.
* Prepare work control documentation for plant related activities.

Alongside assisting the plant responsible officers with:
* Fault-finding activities on power supplies plant, at system and subsystem levels (often with limited information), in a safe and effective manner ensuring relevant work control procedures are followed.
* Lead minor plant installation/modification tasks including supervision of technicians as required.
* Preparation of power supplies plant documentation, including drawings and work procedures, and ensure they are up to date and stored in line with current practice and policies.
* Staff training on areas of power supplies plant to ensure they can fulfil their duties related to the above plant. E.g. Operations and maintenance staff.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* 2 years minimum experience
