The Role:
The overall day-to-day management of engineering activities across a broad multi-disciplined team to achieve strategic business objectives

Key responsibilities as an Engineering Manager:
* Design Quality
* Design/departmental efficiency through project delivery
* Strategic development of resources and recruitment
* Management of staff utilisation
* Client relations
* Accountability for Engineering output against quality, cost , budget and programme
* Resource management for the department in coordination with each discipline Engineering Design Manager
* Regular department reporting as necessary to the SEM
* Development & progression of team members in line with career pathways
Position of the Engineering Manager within the organisation:

Reports to the Snr Engineering Manager and responsible for an Engineering Team which is growing and is multi-disciplined.

The Company:
The client are a leading international engineering, project management and services provider to the highly regulated nuclear, defence, oil & gas, and science & research industries. Our expertise has been developed over many years and is backed up by a highly trained, committed workforce and a wide range of specialist resources.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* First degree - Masters or equivalent in a technical/engineering or related discipline. Chartered status. A full UK driving license
* SC Clearance
* Demonstrably proactive, self-driven and assertive. High levels of influence and strong leadership capability. External Client Management
* Chartered Engineer essential
* Minimum 5 years' experience of the Nuclear Industry preferable
* Minimum 10 years within a highly regulated multi-discipline environment essential
