The Role:
As Engineering Project Manager, you will manage a variety of projects focused on developing remote automated systems for the next generations of power stations and also to support the UK effort to apply novel technologies to all challenging and harsh environments for the protection of people and advancement of industry. The main responsibilities of the role will be the delivery of complex technical projects from conception to delivery.

This will include:
-Managing projects from conception to delivery in line with technical management systems and project governance.
-Including regular reporting and proactive stakeholder management
-Driving execution to plan, and managing spend ensuring the outcome is fit for purpose.
-Establishing and meeting milestones.
-Defining resource requirements for the projects you are involved in, including staffing numbers/skills, purchase estimates and facility requirements.
-Identifying risks to the project and generating and implementing mitigating strategies.
-Managing arising issues on the project, escalating for resolution when necessary
-Maintaining the quality documentation and the audit trail for the project.
-Ensuring successful project handover to the end user, including relevant documentation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experienced project manager with an engineering background
-Professional project management qualification is desirable but not essential
-Track record of delivering complex technical projects to budget, time and cost
-Passion for ensuring good project management practices and culture
-A Proactive approach to safety, with good appreciation of UK compliance requirements in design
-Excellent influencing and collaboration skills
-Familiarity with modern standards in the areas of Safety, Health and Environment, and Quality Assurance
