The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic reporting to the Service Manager and will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the Generator Fleet Equipment.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs and service of equipment for breakdowns/field service
  • Strip and rebuild large engines (½ Mw - 5Mw)
  • Assist with equipment dispatch and receivables
  • Assist with ensuring the safe and efficient running of the workshop
  • Comply with Environment and OHS Standards

Our client is a leading supplier of Power Systems in Australia. They have a strong presence in providing engineering support, technical advice and after-sales support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics
  • Must be willing to work away as required
  • Sound knowledge of Heavy Duty Equipment
  • Be competent in performing routine maintenance on machines
  • CAT engine experience desirable
  • Valid Australian Driver License
  • Forklift / High risk work licenses desirable
  • Sound computer skills
  • Excellent fluent communication skills
  • Be able to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test
  • Current Australian Work Rights
