The Role:
We are recruiting for a Power Station Supervisor for a leading Oil and Gas project based in Darwin. This is a 2x2 rotational position for an initial 6 month contract. Responsible for the management of operational and maintenance work on the Project site.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Plan and implement an efficient plant inspection, preventative routine and corrective maintenance regime to ensure plant reliability.
  • Control and manage site access protocols and provide site coordination.
  • Ensure that maintenance practices and business process are applied and managed.
  • Plan and manage resources to ensure work can be performed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain safety standards to the highest possible level - ensuring the safety of team members and compliance with all safety codes.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of maintenance staff ensuring that people who report to you follow work instructions and policies accordingly.
  • As the Supervisor, give clear instructions as to the tasks to be carried out, respond to questions and requests for assistance from the workforce.
  • Monitor scheduled work ensuring tasks are completed within set timeframes.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical/mechanical isolation procedures coordinating with other parties as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and carry out isolation procedures for plant.
  • Coordinate or undertake after hours emergency call outs as required.

Our client is a leading supplier of Power Systems in Australia. They have a strong presence in providing engineering support, technical advice and after-sales support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Electrical license.
  • High Voltage Switching ticket.
  • Mandatory experience working on a Power Station.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience working on an Oil and Gas project.
  • Experience using a Comap System.
