The Role:
A major mining organisation is now seeking a Building and Infrastructure Specialist - Subsidence Property Management to be based in the Wollongong area, NSW. You will support the Infrastructure Protection team by monitoring and assessing subsidence impacts and managing building and construction works associated with mitigating and repairing mine subsidence impacts.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Contractor management.
* Manage building hazard identification inspections, monitoring and mitigation works.
* Manage safety and serviceability repairs.
* Assist with project management of repairs and mitigation works to private and public infrastructure.
* Supervise, manage and procure repair works.
* Project manage interim and temporary repairs to properties.
* Undertake pre-mining inspections.
* Participate in landholder meetings.
* Undertake end of panel inspections with survey and engineering team.
* Identify strategic positions and pathways for claims management.
* Provide assistance to the structural engineer.
* Assist with risk assessments and budgeting.
* Attend meetings with relevant community groups.

As the perfect candidate you will possess:
* Experience in building within the residential sector.
* Demonstrated experience in contract and contractor management processes including writing contract documentation, writing and reviewing detailed reports and documentation.
* Proven ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects and coordinate conflicting priorities.
* Experience managing small projects and budgets.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams.
* Experience in underground coal mining or mine subsidence and its potential effects on ground surface structures will be highly regarded.
