The Role:
Reporting to the Lead Corporate Affairs, the Corporate affairs position will deliver the internal and external communications responsibilities in line with company objectives. The position will actively build awareness and understanding of operations and project reputation

This role will be performed as a job share arrangement, with one person based at the refinery three days per week and one person based at the mine three days per week. The position is 4 days per week in a permanent capacity.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop communication plans and local media strategies to raise awareness and enhance reputation in local communities
  • Engage with local media and utilise local and corporate communications channels i.e. newsletters, social media, intranet and website and sustainability reports
  • Develop key message development and content creation to facilitate effective communication with employees across the mine, refinery and port.
  • Proactively prepare information to connect and engage local community and government stakeholders.
  • Support identification and management of local issues.
  • Organise logistics and develop content for strategically aligned community meetings, site tours, town halls, lunch and learns, photo shoots, videos and group discussions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification with extensive work experience with government / NGO / corporate business / mining
  • Good communication skills with high level of interpersonal skills
  • High level business writing and analysis skills, strong project management skills, presentation skills,
  • MS Office (Powerpoint skills)
