The Role:
Subsidence Engineer

Underground Coal - New South Wales

The subsidence engineer is required to support the IC Infrastructure Protection team in an expert capacity by providing internal consultancy on all aspects of mine subsidence engineering.
Key Accountabilities -
* Develop and maintain in-house mine subsidence models that will be used to predict, manage and review surface impacts due to mining
* Review external consultant mine subsidence predictions and provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders
* Ensure mine subsidence risks (safety and serviceability) for current and proposed domains are understood and communicated to key stakeholders
* Act as an internal consultant, providing expert mine subsidence advice
* Review subsidence monitoring data and make recommendations as required
* Compliance with Work Health and Safety Acts

About You
* Ability to undertake detailed technical work
* Effectively communicate technical concepts and risks
* Ability to assess mine subsidence risk levels across the business
* Identify and scope innovation initiatives relating to mine subsidence engineering
* Ability to communicate technical information and manage scopes with external stakeholders
