The Position

Through an increased project size and company growth, the position of Statutory Mechanical Reliability Engineer has become available. The purpose of this role is to provide governance, guidance and to control the standards, specifications, procedures, programs and technical documentation of the plant. The position will be based at a site near Woollongong, NSW.

The basic function of the role is as follows:

  • Ensure the adherence to engineering standards, specifications, procedures, programs and technical documentation across the mine are designed, constructed, operated and maintained
  • Adherence and governance of Standards of Engineering Practices (SEP)
  • Lead the implementation of standardised systems, governance and compliance
  • Manage the change management system and provides governance for Change Control and its effectiveness
  • Establish a safety orientated, high-performance culture in the team through effective mentoring and coaching
  • Develop long term equipment strategies
  • Conduct engineering design improvements
  • Manage and lead plant reliability practices

The Candidate

As this position is a pure Statutory Mechanical Reliability Engineering role, experience within this space is required. 3 years' experience working at a surface mining operation is also essential.

Any experience with heavy mobile equipment within this space is also highly recommended.
