The Role:
To provide leadership and direction to the Concentrator Production Execution and effectively manage the Production processes

Concentrator Management:
* Manage the Concentrator process and actives
* Ensure that all product quality parameters are maintained and quality improvement strategies are identified
* Liaise with the Process Control and Improvement subfunction regarding technical improvements
* Reduce plant operating costs
* Review work orders, ensure resource requirements are fulfilled, manage issues and propose solutions for effective execution of strategy
* Identify, initiate, approve, maintain and terminate non-traded contracts and approve contractors
* Ensure that critical controls for material risks are being correctly and uniformly applied and used by all teams
* Drive initiatives to improve work practices and procedures

Concentrator Supervision:
* Supervise the execution of the production plan in order to achieve established KPI targets on HSEC, Cost & Volume (according to the Production Forecast and Schedule)
* Improve plant productivity, including removing identified bottlenecks in process system
* Improve process utilisation
* Deliver agreed production targets

* Manage a project team of a technical project to deliver project objectives
* Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope change control
* Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub project and monitor and control actual cost against budget
* Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise
* Develop a simple schedule to facilitate effective project execution
* Monitor, evaluate and communicate simple project schedules
* Identify, suggest and implement corrective actions to improve quality of project work
* Plan, organise and support project meetings and workshops
* Conduct project documentation management to support project processes
* Provide assistance in implementing and assuring project work meets quality requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* 5 - 10 Years relevant experience
* Demonstrate understanding of the different stages of safety maturity of an organisation
* Demonstrate understanding of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation in the workplace
* Demonstrate knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace
* Demonstrate knowledge of the various activities related to the processing of minerals
* Demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of tailings dam - Level two
* Demonstrate an understanding of statistical process control
* Electrical & Mechanical Engineering:
* Demonstrate knowledge and operation of mechanical and electrical systems
* Demonstrate logical problem solving and error detection techniques
* Explain fundamentals of project management
* Demonstrate an understanding of basic physical metallurgy and its applications
