The Role:
Our clients are seeking a motivated candidate for a Technical Training and Governance Principal to be based in Northern Territory. Reporting to the Lead Analysis & Improvement, this role is responsible for technical training, governance & compliance to stakeholder and operational needs.

Key responsibilities include:
* Establishing and maintaining an interdependent safety culture within the team, as well as the delivery of improvements in safety performance.
* Provides technical direction across site and assists with governance and compliance in relation to Technical Training.
* Contributes to the development and implementation of the Site Training Scheme (including processes and systems) and manages the subsequent governance.
* Establishes performance requirements including framework, auditing and verification programs for all workers and drives the introduction of efficiency enablers (e.g. E-assessments, CMS).
* Engages and supports the business plan, implements and enhances induction and technical training packages including online, face to face, simulation and on the job.
* Contributes to effective change management and communication for business wide level change for Technical Training.
* Establishes data recording and reporting processes (set data structure, data entry and reporting) through the LMS and manages training requirements of all personnel to ensure skill requirements are met.
* Effectively manages learning resources including relationships with training vendors, management of learning associated with the LMS, maintenance of training catalogues/libraries and digital systems/hardware.
* Develops, reviews and implements training documentation that aligns to business standards, design standards, quality assurance and documentation requirements.
* Undertakes periodic audits of compliance against the Training Scheme across site.
* Provides expert knowledge in relation to nationally approved training packages and competencies relating to work on site and researches training needs when required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in the management of learning management systems.
* Proven training or technical expertise in a site based role within a mining, minerals processing or heavy industry environment.
* Ability to effectively demonstrate capability in the core responsibilities.
* Excellent knowledge & understanding of relevant statutory regulations.
* Current knowledge and experience with mining processes and national and Northern Territory legislation.
* Certificate IV in Training and Development.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current).
* Advanced Excel and data analysis skills along proficiency with systems such as, SureSite, Learning Management Portals, SAP - Success Factors, SAMs and IntelliPermit.
