The Role:
Provide leadership to insure execution of job scope is done in a safe, environmentally sound and cost effective manner to support the long term reliability of the refinery. Interpret the potential impact of events and foster resolution among the parties. Must fully understand the Project and Contractor systems as they will be expected to work within the parameters of both systems. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safety * Contractor - Responsible for Safety performance of any assigned Contractor employees and support the development of JSA's Responsible for enforcing the refinery site standards and for making sure that TSTI's, Audits and quality safety meetings are being done by contractor supervisors Environmental * Responsible for execution of work per environmental requirements. Work Management * Overall - Responsible for execution of assigned Company or Contractor Mechanical work and drive for improvements in overall execution performance efficiency and quality of repairs * Planning - Responsible for review, validation, and feedback on applicable plans (including Capital project schedules) and responsible for adherence to equipment repair procedures * Resources - Responsible for review, validation, and feedback on applicable scheduled resources Manage execution to minimize delays, maximize time on tools, and meet or beat planned productivity targets * Materials - Responsible for applicable material storage, handling, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) to insure materials are available and properly installed in field * Scheduling - Responsible for review/ feedback and execution of applicable weekly and project schedules Provide input into development and active updating/ management of weekly schedule to insure as accurate as possible * Expenses - Responsible for meeting planned work order amounts for scheduled work and for insuring assigned Contractor Labor charges are timely and accurately allocated/ approved to proper cost centers * Controls - Responsible for compliance with applicable Control (Delegation of Authority Guide (DOAG), Work Order, Procurement, Timekeeping, etc.) procedures relating to job scope SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * 5-10 years' relevant experience in Upstream Oil & Gas design, engineering or management in an EPC contracting environment is required * Minimum of a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong technical background in project execution
