The Role:
The Supply Chain Operations Planner manages daily operational tasks including liaising with customers and plants regarding all supply issues

Responsible for understanding customer demands/schedules and requirements and to ensure plants and supply chain team adhere to these requirements.

Investigates issues and root causes to poor delivery performance and implements corrective actions

The Supply Chain Operations Planner will escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner using standards and SC tools. Offers solutions to supply issues where possible

Implement processes and procedures to enable 100% delivery on time to customers and improve the supply chain

Acts as an ambassador for change and operates in the role with a CIP approach

Installs and maintains the required procedures to evaluate freight and duties costs. Works to optimize and reduce these costs

Responsible to support the manufacturing plants and to negotiate with customers on supply issues and additional costs for freight/overtime etc. Supports MPS meetings and identifies deviations.

Identifies shortfalls within the supply process and actively seeks to make corrective action/improvement plans to solve the issue

Implements and monitors KPIs with Plants and Distribution Centres to ensure supply is on time (logistics box, TIC tool)

Has an advanced working and operational knowledge of FORS

The Supply Chain Operations Planner will ensure the warehouses are working to the required processes and costs are in line with budgets. Supports BU warehouses where appropriate

Controls liability claims and coordinates with customer and plants to minimize

Supports budget planning and action plans to control budget deviations

Ensure stock accuracy in all locations for the designated Bus

Maintains and continually optimizes the finished goods inventory for the company to achieve inventory targets. Implements and supports supply chain tools and standards to support inventory management

Supports plants to establish and effective rolling forecast for inventory and to implement corrective actions when results are not achieved

*Support S&OP process and be able to complete the required S&OP file as a cover person

*Manages supply due to quality complaints and liaises with appropriate internal depts to find solutions to protect supply to customers

*Support strategy of Bus as a central function member and proactively participates in strategic development in supply chain

*Supports where required the RFQ process

Customer interface -essential

*Proven experience in material planning and management - essential

*Experience in interacting with a warehouse and 3PLs - essential

*Knowledge of packaging management - desirable

*Automotive experience - desirable

*Flexibility to travel abroad- essential

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A relevant degree or 5 years working experience
