The Role:
Reporting directly to the Programme Director, the role is primarily focused on the implementation, configuration, training and continuous improvement of the PLM software systems for Our client. This includes all tools and necessary solutions throughout the vehicle development and production process and beyond; working and partnering with CAD Engineering, IT and other cross-functional SMEs to ensure capabilities are seamless.
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled PLM Programme Manager who will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the PLM System on an ongoing basis in line with the requirements of the business and line functions. Ideally, you will have knowledge of country regulations (international) in terms of homologation, competitive activity in the market, legal restrictions on predecessor vehicles and have experience in the cooperation / control of the software system vendor and integration of ESPs.

Internal factors: Responsible for delivering all aspects of the PLM System on an on-going basis in line with the requirements of the business and line functions.

External factors: Knowledge of country regulations (international) in terms of homologation, competitive activity in the market, legal restrictions on predecessor vehicles and have experience in the cooperation / control of the software system vendor and integration of ESPs.

Accountabilities:

* Define, create, implement and deliver a PLM system in time to meet business needs and requirements
* Work with all key stakeholders in the Automotive team to define requirements, process parameters and criteria to ensure system capability is effective to meet project and process requirements
* Manage the PLM architecture, configuration, implementation and maintenance of the workflows and templates
* Co-ordinate and deliver the user management and PLM ERP integration, including the management of project access right and control of relevant data
* Work closely with the Finance team supporting the monitoring and tracking of security and SAP integration; close cooperation with Weight/Cost tracking Manager
* Monitor and maintain the License Management for PLM Software and release management for PLM software, interfaces to ERP and ensure compliance
* Create, implement and deliver PLM support and training as well as on-going training as required including 2nd level support PLM for key users
* Organization of general PLM training and delivery and implementation of specific process training
* Maintain and review the project schedule regularly in order to deliver on time and to cost, responding to required changes to provide a seamless programme direction
* Where appropriate work with the key stakeholders directly, create corrective action plans to address failures
* Build the relationships within the team through mentoring and fostering strong communication across multiple expertise centres. Set the framework for all teams to successfully achieve their PLM goals (project goals, milestones, country rules etc.)
* Lead system and user audits as required and feedback to users as necessary
* Network with the wider organisation to maximise group leverage possibilities

As this role is based in Germany, the ability to communicate fluently in German is essential.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- The incumbent will have a minimum of 8-10 years' experience gained at either a Tier 1 automotive supplier or automotive OEM, and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the automotive design and launch process, from concept to industrialisation, in-order to managing and configuring a PLM system.
- Degree in engineering or science or related area.
- Excellent programme management skills, with a track record of delivering integration solutions and PLM system implementation and administration.
- Familiar with CAD system and Catia V5.
- German speaker
