The Role:
!PR Professional needed for a new and exciting automotive OEM!

Role Outline:
*Working closely alongside the Head of Marketing Communication and the wider Commercial team, this role will take responsibility for PR for the client, owning the relationships with journalists across key verticals.
*They will develop, implement and deliver a plan to protect and promote the client and the project through public relations and in collaboration with selected partner agencies.
*The PR Manager requires significant experience of business and consumer PR, ideally within the automotive sector and at a pan-European level.

External factors:
* Build and develop relationships with key industry figures from lifestyle and automotive media.
* Develop relationships with stakeholders including agencies and project partners.
* Understand the competitive forces and wider consumer, political and economic consideration in the markets that we operate.
* Research, review and feedback on the trends that will impact PR and wider MarComms plan as they are developed.

Internal factors:
* Implement and contribute to the PR strategy as determined by the Head of Marketing Communications and create robust processes and measurement metrics.
* Take responsibility for identifying opportunities and developing the the client's external facing consumer media messaging, including timing and sensitivities to corporate and Group activities.
* Develop online influencer relationships in order to maximise the relationship between PR and social media, in collaboration with the Social & Content Manager
* Build relationships with key stakeholders within the business, especially within the clients Group Communications; help, motivate and inspire colleagues.
* Ensure colleagues and senior management team are full briefed on comms messaging and timings.

Responsibilities:
* Create PR plan for build-up/pre, launch and post-launch periods for the project, ensuring seamless integration with marketing and social media communications
* Collaborate with corporate PR and external affairs advisors to ensure all media opportunities are assessed and realised
* Manage the external consumer media messaging for the client, its key personnel/SMT and the project, including being responsible for press briefings, press releases and PR events
* Implement robust PR metrics and reporting that aligns with wider marketing communications reporting
* Coordinate the client's PR agency partners, including briefing and overseeing production of press assets (e.g. images, video, etc)
* Work closely with the legal team and the clients Group Comms to ensure consistent and complementary media messaging and media management
* Maximise positive press coverage in agreed target markets and audience profiles, building relationships with key journalists in traditional (broadcast, print) and digital (online, social) media
* Establish a crisis comms plan and issues management process for the client, in collaboration with social media, corporate comms and external affairs
* Manage consumer PR spend, ensuring it remains within agreed budgets and maximises return on investment
* Manage the content quality for external communication material through Press channels
* Operate as a 'Press Office' style function, responding to global media requests as necessary

Global automotive experience essential.
