The Role:
Our client, a new Automotive OEM is looking to recruit for a Timing & Scheduling Manager. Reporting directly to the Programme Director, the role is primarily focused on the preparation of master and detailed schedules, including presentation of dependencies and interfaces of all line functions. This includes all tools and necessary solutions throughout the vehicle development and production process and beyond.

Requirements:

* To co-ordinate, manage and maintain partial and total schedules for the life cycle of the project and beyond.
* Participation in regular project management review meetings, as well as engineering team meetings - manage the data input and time schedules from partners.
* Maintain, collate, and deliver the timing and schedule for project
* Evaluate, analyze and provide solutions for deviations on time and schedule, along with implications, evaluations and reworking to project schedule
* Keep Programme Director informed of all deviations and changes to project, providing analysis on outcomes and schedule
* In case of delay and in conjunction with key stakeholders take the correct countermeasures
* Develop, monitor and maintain target project records with the project management, site managers, suppliers and other project participants
* Attend meetings as directed by the PM, take and distribute meeting minutes to the necessary stakeholders
* Track project milestones and deliverables, providing detail reports as required
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans
* Design, create and revision of detailed time schedules across all project phases
* Conduct regular reviews with the key project stakeholders, to provide feedback and facilitate programme development

Our Client is one of the world's biggest manufacturing companies, and in a new departure, they are now seeking to add world-class Automotive expertise to support the manufacture of a new, uncompromising 4x4 coming to market by the end of 2020. The creation of this new 4x4 will honour the spirit of traditional rugged off-roading, whilst offering a step change in build quality and reliability and meeting the safety and environmental considerations of the present day

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The incumbent must be able to build effective working relationships with internal clients and external suppliers; must have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; must be able to thrive in a multi-cultural environment. The incumbent must be self-motivated, comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organisation. Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills and should be comfortable giving presentations. There will be some travel involved in the role. The role will be based primarily in Germany and therefore English and German language skills would be beneficial. - Significant experience gained at either a Tier 1 automotive supplier or automotive OEM

- Able to demonstrate knowledge of the automotive design and launch process, from concept to industrialisation, in-order to managing the master and detailed schedules
