The Role:


Sales Manager - HV Electrical

Location: Blyth

We are currently looking for a Sales Manager - HV Electrical who will be responsible for proactively increasing lab occupation by maintaining current client base and securing new UK and international clients.

A motivated self-starter with drive and enthusiasm to achieve results, this role requires someone with experience of selling services or complex products. This role will be based in Blyth however flexibility will be required as travel both nationally and internationally is to be expected.

What are my key responsibilities?

*Grow customer base by developing access to target customers through direct relationships, relationships through technical specialists, relationships through intermediaries and development of framework contracts;

*Develop and implement sales plan to achieve targets;

*Maintaining direct contact with prospective customers by telephone, email, face to face and attending exhibitions and seminars;

*Achieving revenue targets from the following Electrical Networks' services:Testing, Consultancy, and Research and Development Projects;

*Responsible for developing and carrying out marketing plan, and reconciling its effectiveness;

*Contribution to overall customer service through:Proposal/quotation process control and managing customers and their expectations;

*Overall promotion of services to key market sectors including:Device developers and manufacturers, Consultants and project developers; Universities and Network owner/operators;

*Providing strategic input to the development of the Electrical Networks Division;

*Gathering, documenting and disseminating market intelligence;

*Manage enquiry assessments and proposal development where appropriate

What do I need to qualify for this role?

Educated to degree level in an Engineering / Technical discipline, preferably with an electrical bias or with equivalent industrial experience, the successful candidate will have had formal sales training and will have a good working knowledge of the electricity market covering subsea cables, transmission, distribution and generation. A good level of experience in proposal development or commercial review in addition to outside sales, preferably within service delivery or project management is also required.
