The Role:

Responsibilities includes maintaining the Driver-In-the-Loop (DIL) Simulator, manage resources at the site including developing and preparing test plans, coordinating schedules, conducting the data analysis and generating a report from the simulation session. Establish and grow the simulator business model and be the primary point of contact for customers/clients.

Other responsibilities includes developing vehicle level targets to ensure the
competitiveness of our products and cascades these targets to the departments of the major vehicle systems. Focus will be placed on selecting, developing, and managing simulation tools to aid departments in setting targets and optimizing products to achieve company and project objectives and support our customers' success.

Requirements includes BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience with 5+ years of race/trackside and in-house engineering support experience related to data analysis and troubleshooting performance issues required. This includes test validation and technical reports. Must have 5+ years of leadership/management experience including presenting ideas and data, communicating effectively with all levels and customers.

Other requirements includes 5+ years experience with vehicle dynamics and performance analysis tools and simulation codes (ie 7-post testing, kinematics & compliance rig, etc); Proficient with on-car data acquisition system required (ie McLaren, PI, Motec, etc); Technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles and chassis systems: aerodynamics, suspension, tires, etc.; Knowledgeable with analysis and simulation codes preferred (ie MatLab, Simulink, AVL VSM, C+, Visual Basic, AeroLap, etc.)

Must have strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve routine problems. Strong PC and software knowledge including MS Office and MS Project. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in team environment with minimal supervision. Ability to be self-directed, detailed oriented who can effectively work well under pressure in a diverse environment. Ability to plan, organize, schedule and coordinate activities for self based on an evaluation of work needs and an estimation of timing. Strong Project Management Skills. Demonstrates clear sense of urgency appropriate to a competitive racing environment.
