The Role:
Location: West, Singapore
Contract: 6 Months (Fixed)

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the business, this role will lead and direct the accounting function within Asia Pacific region. Candidate with experience working in the Oil and Gas industry will be highly preferred.
We need immediate starters and candidates who are already based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
* Direct the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process including but not limited to preparation, review and approval of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, trend analyses and business commentaries.
* Ensure all corporate reporting requirements are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
* Maintain strong and effective internal controls in accounting and business processes
* Ownership for monthly review of aged receivables and drive collection efforts with the business.
* Responsible for forecast of cash collection and action plan to deliver set targets.
* Lead and manage the transactional team, driving functional excellence in accounting operations.
* Be a change agent and promote a mindset of continuous process improvement within the team.
* Support internal/external audits including local statutory audits, SOX compliance, tax audits etc.
* Responsible for government reporting requirements eg. surveys, statistics
* Support GST/VAT compliance including review of monthly/quarterly filings etc.

Experience/Skills Required
* Qualified CA with minimum 12 years of regional finance experience with an MNC
* Working knowledge of US GAAP and FRS reporting
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with different levels of internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to balance a hands-on role with decision making responsibilities as required of the position.
* ERP system experience (familiarity with Epicor a plus) and proficient with MS Office applications including Advanced Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
