The Role:
Division / Department: QHSE
Job Title: QHSE Leader
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

Minimum 7 years' experience in Health, Safety & Environment

Main Responsibilities
* Provide quality, health, safety & environment leadership to efficiently manage all QHSE programs and compliance requirements. Duties include, but are not limited to: -
* Providing QHSE leadership for management of QHSE staff and managing permit compliance.
* Plan and implement strategic QHSE initiatives, identify operational best practices and effectively implement SKGE QHSE management systems in the company.
* Drive operational effectiveness for QHSE programs, including continuous improvement in procedures and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, effective utilization of global best practices, and enhanced productivity.
* Participate as a key member of the site leadership team, driving compliance solutions, strategy, QHSE simplification and QHSE operating rhythms.
* Vigorously lead/drive QHSE operationalization and accountability to all employees.
* Enable business growth by leading risk mitigation and QHSE productivity enhancements.
* Champion incident/accident investigation processes and drive closure of corrective actions.
* Supervise and mentor QHSE professional to implement QHSE management system and develop high performing QHSE teams to operationalize QHSE ownership: safety, ergonomics, and emergency response teams.
* Perform program reviews, EHS assessments and drive closure of corrective actions to ensure compliance, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with local team, community, customers and regulators.

Minimum Job Functions
Focal point for customers and internal team with regards to QHSE matters;
Driving the strong and sustainable QHSE culture, program and initiative across the company.

Key Challenges

* Engagement with regulatory body such as Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Department of Environment, etc.
* Maintaining regulatory compliance

Working Relation
* All Departments

Accountability
* Accountable for the implementation of Quality Management System

Authority
* Stop-the-line for QHSE concerns
* Approve final inspection report

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering /Science or equivalent
* Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Wastes Management
* Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001
* Advanced computer skills, primarily with MS Office software
* Strong leadership and influencing skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience in regulator inspections and negotiations
* High energy, self-starter

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in solar turbines, power generation.
