The Role:
To supervise on site drilling, completion, well testing and workover operations and to ensure that all activities on site conducted as per program in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, complying with client standards and local regulations requirements.

Responsibilities:
a) Key Accountabilities:
i) Plan and manage onsite daily drilling operations issue Drilling Instructions in accordance with the office issued Drilling Program and procedures; Prepare and discuss plan and/or project planning with all supervisors onsite.
ii) Lead and supervise the execution of the Drilling, Completion, Well Testing and work-over program and ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner as well as compliance with standards
iii) Drilling Operations are conducted in accordance with SSHE Management System, the Well Management System (WMS), Competence Management System (CMS), Contractor Management System (CoMS) and the local regulatory requirements.

b) SSHE
i) Actively participate in all aspects of SSHE including the pre-job safety meetings (JSA's), pre-tour meetings and in preparation of the Risk Assessments for jobs associated with significant risks to operations.
ii) Participate in SSHE reviews, follow-up action items, support the SSHE engineer on site, monitor and report on SSHE performance and contribute to a SSHE improvement plan.
iii) Supervise the Drilling team onsite comprising Drilling Supervisor, Drilling SSHE coach, Logistics Coordinator and Operations Drilling Engineer if any to ensure SSHE, logistics and engineering plan are in line with daily activities and lookahead plan
iv) Ensure adherence to SSHE Management System, Well Management System (WMS), the Contractor Management System (CoMS) and the local regulatory requirements.
v) Contribute in providing input to HAZIDs and HAZOPs for the risk management process and emergency response plans for the Drilling Operations.

c) Operations
i) Provide continuous, accurate and reliable information on any aspect of the operations to the Drilling Operation Manager and ensure that the Daily Drilling Report and all the other reports are completed properly and submitted in time.
ii) Assist the Drilling Operation Manager to resource the Drilling Operations team as appropriate to cover all operational requirements and to define drilling objectives for the Drilling Department
iii) Ensure equipment and materials required for the drilling operations delivered in time, considering logistics constraints and complying with the Procurement and Contracting process and the Contractor Management System (CoMS).
iv) Contribute in providing input for the Well Management System (WMS) and suggest improvements.

d) People
i) Contribute to pre-start drilling audits to ensure that competent personnel and adequate equipment are available for execution.
ii) Pursue the notion of creating one team with drilling and service contractors' personnel at the wellsite with the goal to drill the wells efficiently whilst maintaining high SSHE standards.
iii) Develop staff through mentoring and coaching, performance feedback and identifying development opportunities
iv) Ensure all activities required under CMS are completed on time for both him/herself and onsite team members
v) Ensure drilling and service contractors provide quality equipment and competent personnel to operate the equipment and report on their performance

The successful applicant will:

1) Education Qualification
 Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field or Alternatively High School Diploma with college graduation are acceptable
2) Desired Competency (Skills and Abilities)
 Excellent communication and presentation skills
 Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and integrity
 Proficient in Open Wells software
3) Work Experiences
 10 years' experience offshore drilling operations with minimum 5 years' experience in the role of a Senior Drilling Supervisor
 Have worked in Malaysia for at least 5 years with 2 years' experience in Sarawak waters.
 Minimum 2 years' experience with HPHT and carbonate wells with total losses are mandatory.
 Minimum 1 year experience with MPD (CBHP and PMCD)
4) Additional Desirable Qualifications:
 Preferable to have valid Sarawak work permit
 Have valid IWCF (Supervisor Level 4) well control certificate.
 Have valid BOSIET
 Conversant with relevant PETRONAS upstream standards and guidelines.
