The Role:
Summary of Responsibilities:
* SSC Safety Officer (Specialist) is expected to work closely with O&M teams and SSC Insurance and Safety to develop, control, implement, advice and support related to group's safety management.
* Develop and maintain the occupational health program. Monitoring safety operations and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety to comply with applicable laws, regulations, international standards and contractual agreements.

Common Responsibilities in SSC
* Deploy and maintain SSC occupational health and safety policy, rules and regulation, health program. Formulate and update safe working procedures, manuals, and instructions.
* Prepare overall safety performance reports such as safety statistic, near miss report, incident report, health check-up report etc. benchmarking as well as to further improve safety performance as appropriate.

Main Responsibilities:
* Enhance the effective occupational health and safety control, safety program monitoring and corrective action follow up. Prepare monthly and yearly safety management report and participation in operation and maintenance meeting.
* Provide consultation and advice on safety regulations, unsafe condition / unsafe action to employee, contractors and third parties (e.g. Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Weekly tool box talk). Report and follow up corrective/preventive actions by checking and recording the results.
* Develop plant safety and occupational health policy, rules, regulation and O&M manuals to comply with a safety requirements in contractual agreement.
* Perform as a team leader to carry out an investigation and analysis of all accidents / incidents, safety risk assessment and occupational illness in order to prevent reoccurrence and provide measures for accident prevention.
* Planning and conduct training related to Occupational Health and Safety at work e.g. Fire drill, Emergency response plan, fire fighting, hazardous communication., etc. in order that all staff and contractors have adequate knowledge to work in their environment. Increase awareness to reduce potential risk associated with those hazards
* Set up audit plan to monitor the working environment (sound, light, heat) to reduce potential risk on occupational health and safety at work and advise recommendation to correct and improve as needed.

Qualifications :
* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Science or related field.
* Minimum 6 years 's experience in Safety Officer Professional Level
* Experience in Power Plants and OHSAS 180001 would be advantage.
* Safety officer in Professional Level prescribed by Thai, Laos Laws
* Proficiency in English
