The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest solar manufacturing & power generating companies who are further expanding their presence within the renewable energy sector with projects focused the wind & hydro power too.

The Role:
The Electrical Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring all site operation and maintenance activities are delivered safely and efficiently to enable the successful operation of the Solar Farm facility.
The Electrical Supervisor will coordinate all site operation and maintenance activities including the supervision of contractors as required to successfully operate the Solar Farm safely on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Manage operation and maintenance activities and manage stakeholder interaction, site security and safe access.
* Implement and oversee all aspects of the site activity work including planning, scheduling and on-site logistics and reporting on activities for compliance as required.
* Focus on delivery of the electrical and substation installation activities to meet ongoing operations requirements.
* Develop the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Isolation Procedures for HV/LV switching.
* Examining drawings or specifications to determine work methods, sequence of activities or manufacture of components.
* On Site Representation of the Principal under the Workplace Health and Safety Act
* Managing Safety and Environment Performance and the Contractors HSE compliance to their management plans, undertaking compliance checks/audits and ensuring compliance with WH&S obligations.
* Ensure contractor and operator are using latest information, drawings, specifications
* Ensuring construction is completed to the required level of quality through verification of installation/works completed by Contractor in accordance with ITPs, drawings and design reports.
* Diagnosing faults or breakdowns.
* Manage direct and indirect reports/contractors.
* Record diaries of site activates including: electronic note, photos of activities, records of conversations and instructions.
* Provide inputs to prepare O&M, budget and forecast reporting
* Provide input into the ERP and inventory management system

* Construction Induction Card. (No.357364)
* License to Perform High Risk Work.
* Current Advanced First Aid Certificate , Senior First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificates (essential)
* Current LV Rescue certificate

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with preferably experience in the solar industry
* Comprehensive knowledge of Transmission and Distribution High Voltage Operational procedures inclusive of OH&S requirements.
* Extensive experience in the operation of a variety of High Voltage isolating devices up to 132kv
* Experienced with solar PV system installation, inverters, wiring, grounding, utilities interface and performance monitoring. Experienced with Semiconductor technology desired.
* Familiar with international Standards for solar PV systems, and other relevant standards.

Other Special Requirements and Working Conditions:
* This is a site based role at Moranbah with a roster of 5/2
* This position may be required to travel to other sites/offices from time to time
* This position may require candidate to provide roster based out of hours support during weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
* A "C" class driver's licence is required for this role.
