The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest solar manufacturing & power generating companies who are further expanding their presence within the renewable energy sector with projects focused the wind & hydro power too.

The Role:
The focus of the role will for oversee Health, Safety, Environment, Community Relations of the remaining term of construction and closing out the solar farm project
Electrical Safety background with Renewable/Solar experience

Key Accountabilities:
* Provide safety leadership to the Site ensuring the highest safety standards attainable are achieved through good safety management
* Facilitate the implementation of hazard identification and risk assessment, risk management through all activities
* Liaise with and provide local support to Environment, Indigenous participation, Community Relations Functions
* Provide advice, guidance, training to management on effectively discharging obligations under the Project Safety Management Plan and relevant legislation
* Support the Site Management team in resolution of HSEC issues:
o Collate information regarding safety records and registers as required in the Safety Management Plan
o Facilitate effective incident investigations and ensure reports of findings are distributed to the Project and Management team members
o Provide advice and expert knowledge to the Site HSEC Committee
o Deliver induction and competency assessment for the project as required
* Liaise with statutory authorities regarding changes to legislation and provide information to site
* Schedule and complete systems and compliance audits for the project
* Prepare periodic HSEC performance reports as required by the Management Team
* Act as a point of contact between the Contractors HSEC function to ensure minimal disruption to Construction activities. Monitor and track effectiveness of contractors injury management and rehabilitation procedures
* Review and overview site procedures (eg. tag outs, outages, and tie-ins) to maximise productivity, minimise safety risks
* Ensure all environmental guidelines and requirements are met
* Monitor housekeeping standards maintained by the Construction Contractors on the site
* Attend (and facilitate where required) contractor meetings, safety meetings, owner project team meetings
* Manage the integrity of the site security infrastructure

Requirements:
Formal or Tertiary qualifications in HSEC
* Demonstrated experience in field with heavy industry construction projects - understanding of construction techniques equipment and processes
* Proven ability to work in small teams
* Previous community, GOC and local government exposure
* Local knowledge of Moranbah
* Solar Farm experience
