The Role:
As one of Australia's leading engineering consultancies within the civil infrastructure market, this company is looking to expand by recruiting only the best Executive management, engineers, administration and contractors the country has to offer. Through expert design and an innovative company ethos, is it no wonder this company is spearheading to the top of the Australian consultancy ladder. This company is also recognised internationally in Europe and the middle East, focusing on specific engineering disciplines to provide the highest quality of service.

While offering the security of a large international business, this company ensures the happiness and comfort of their staff by maintaining the 'family-style' feel of a small business.

The Position:
Through increased company growth both nationally and throughout the state of Queensland, the position of Queensland Regional manager has become available. The Regional manager will be responsible for running the daily business operations of this company and implement new business strategies.

The general duties of the role are as follows:

  • Efficiently manage and maximise the allocation, productivity and commitment of resources
  • Maximise the business operational efficiency through utilising allocated resources and meeting client requirements
  • Prepare budgets and monitor expenditure
  • Manage and co-ordinate client contacts, business development, resource sharing and some project delivery involvement
  • Display a strong understanding of engineering within mining, oil and gas, civil infrastructure and construction (general understanding in some sectors is acceptable)
  • Negotiate major contracts
  • Work alongside the company CEO to set regional goals and assist with greater company goals as well
  • Focus on developing internal relations between offices and help this reflect on our broad client base
  • Display a genuine passion for improving business and growing efficiency

The Candidate:
This position will require a special type of candidate with a strong background in company management, finance, business development and engineering. This role is designed for a passionate leader who enjoys setting goals for their team and using their skills to achieve those goals.

As this position is purely involved in civil infrastructure, mining, oil and gas and environment, experience within these fields is recommended, but not essential. Experience managing and developing large teams and regions is also great experience for this role.
