The Role:
JOB SUMMARY


The Brand Co-ordinator is be expected to provide support in all the key areas of: inventory management; product costings, pricing; assisting and following up in obtaining information for the tender process to ensure the Objectives of the Medical Equipment & Supplies and the Rx business are achieved..

Liaising with customers in the private and public sector to ensure their expectations are met.
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, key retailers, key hospital personnel (public and private).
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Key responsibilities of the Brand Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Sales


1. Provide assistance to the Business Unit Heads in the tracking of daily sales versus target by Medical Representatives for the Medical Equipment & Supplies Portfolio and the H&W Sales Manager for the Rx portfolio.
2. Ensure the Medical Equipment & Supplies Medical Team are provided with the necessary tools - product pricing and other support as required by them to achieve monthly targets.
3. Liaise with suppliers to ensure all selling tools required by the Medical Equipment and Supplies personnel are provided.
4. Provide support to the Medical Equipment & Supplies Sales Team as required to win the business.
5. Keep an inventory track of all medical samples and demonstration equipment. Immediately Alert the Business Unit Managers of any discrepancies.
6. Manage the Alcon Surgical Consignment accounts - bi monthly stock checks and replenishment. Ensure Consignment accounts are invoiced within the month the consignment stock is used.
7. Manage the CIBA ordering process.
8. Work with the Business Managers to develop and implementation of Annual Strategic Objectives.

Supplier Management
11. In conjunction with the Business Managers ongoing communication with suppliers (1) to ensure that the company is aligned to supplier's objectives and expectations; (2) that they are fully appraised of all relevant market conditions/ situations; (3) that they are fully appraised of all product related issues.

Inventory
12. Manage the product ordering process to ensure product availability within company guidelines (i.e. based on agreed carrying stock levels).
13. Maintain optimum stock levels to maximize sales and reduce carrying cost.
14. Reduce SMS where necessary.
15. Ensure all product codes are created for new products.
16. Ensure all costings are prepared on a timely basis and are accurately computed by the Procurement Department.
17. Ensure Price Books are diligently maintained.
18. Assist the Health & Wellness Manager in the preparation of Monthly Rolling Forecast for the Rx portfolio.
19. Review monthly inventory worksheets for the Medical Equipment & Supplies Portfolios in conjunction with the Business Unit Head and make recommendation stock.


Working Capital Management
27. Ensure monthly debit notes for the Alcon Medical Reps and other Alcon expenses are promptly attended to by the Health & Wellness Administrative Assistant.
28. Ensure all relevant debit notes for reimbursable expenses created by the Medical Equipment & Supplies business are promptly prepared and submitted to suppliers.
29. Manage and monitor inventories for business segment to ensure minimal out of stocks and slow moving inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 5 G.C.E. passes; computer literate: must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
* Have at least 2 - 3 years in a fast pace pharmaceutical and medical environment and strong administrative skills.
* Marketing Diploma
* Be customer focused, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of working in a highly competitive environment.
* Organised and must be able to multi-tasked.
